Kalox Foundation has a storied history, It’s the legacy of an entrepreneur, filmmaker, philanthropist, and true Sierra Leone patriot, Obai Davis Kalokoh. This Foundation is fueled by Kalox’s love for education and the homeless, and desire to allow kids and adults to reach their full potential through your assistance. This Foundation honestly believes education is the seed from which everything grows
Our Vision
At Kalox Foundation, we believe that education enables youth to dream, see, and build the impossible. When African youth are empowered by quality education, they drive innovation and new solutions to social challenges in their communities and beyond. Their collective action yields a better, fairer world for all.
Our Mission
Our mission is to mobilize the African community to empower youth with the foundation for a Better Life: access to high-quality education and a good standard of living.
Our Vision
At Kalox Foundation, we increase equitable access to education for youth (ages 5-35) in historically disadvantaged African communities. To do this, we work alongside a network of global and local partners, teachers, and youth to build intentionally designed environments that are conducive to learning.
- We provide youth with supportive and inspiring learning spaces to become emotionally healthy, resilient, confident, and globally active citizens.
- We ensure early learners and foundation phase youth (ages 5-9) receive the developmental skills in reading and math to thrive in future learning spaces.
- We equip teachers with the leadership capacity, tools, and skills to become innovative problem-solvers with the power to mobilize and change community mindsets.
- We increase digital literacy and access to technological resources for teachers, students, and community members through computer training and weekend classes.
- We support township economies by procuring building and classroom supplies through local small businesses, putting money back into the community.

Launch of The KALOX Foundation
Obai Davis Kalokoh, Sierra Leone’s most successful entrepreneur, filmmaker, and philanthropist, launched his foundation on 27 September 2025. Kalox Foundation is a youth development initiative that enhances youth preparedness for higher education or entry into the workforce. Kalox’s vision for Sierra Leone is that it advances because each generation builds and grows beyond its predecessor.
For Kalox, educating our youth is key to transforming his vision for Sierra Leone into a reality. “The higher the level of education, the higher the chance the youth have of creating a future for themselves and collectively, a better Sierra Leone”, says Noah.

Following decades of civil war, Ebola, COVID-19, and more, millions of Sierra Leoneans live in forgotten townships and rural underserved communities, resulting in a lack of employment opportunities and demoralized community leadership, as well as access to education and digital infrastructure.
